About Idea Breakfast
I’m a seasoned veteran, having spent 25 years in the tech industry. I survived the dotcom bubble, 911, countless layoff and downsizing and a lot of tech hype. I still love technology, but learned I love humans more.
I’ve tried to blog so many previous times, to varying degrees of success. I initially started this blog as an experiment with the A.I. coding platform, Cursor. I even contemplated having it write articles for me. The thing is, we need writing and we need it to be human, now more than ever. So I’m trying to do things a little differently.
Topics that might interest me and appear on the blog are often questions:
- How does stuff work, whether its python, elixir’s nerves IoT platform, or OpenAI’s newest SDK?
- how do we use this stuff for the common good? how does technology serve all and not just a few?
- what does past computing look like and how can we learn from it? where are we going?
- What should be done by humans vs. done by computers? How do we keep what’s most crucial to being human?
